Snapper Island is a couple of kilometres off Cape Kimberley in the Daintree Rainforest. It is a short kayak ride from Kimberley Beach and can also be seen from Walu Wugirriga (Alexandra Range Lookout).

Snapper Island can also be seen from Rocky Point and Wonga Beach which are south of the Daintree River and from these angles, it looks like a crocodile.
