Daintree Birds - Shining Flycatcher

The shining flycatcher (Myiagra alecto) is a small bird that lives in the mangroves. The male is all blue-black with iridescent feathers while the female is tri-coloured - chestnut, white and black. Both sexes sit on the eggs and raise the young.
