Snorkelling on Agincourt Ribbon Reefs. |
I stayed for a couple of nights at Port Douglas to go snorkelling with Silversonic and to attend ‘Wonderland under the Stars’ featuring Busby Marou. Because of reduced tourist numbers due to closed borders, Quicksilver was only running their small catamaran for their Outer Reef cruises. It was interesting seeing Snapper Island from the sea-side.

Bush-stone curlews are one of my favourite birds. They cry at night - a haunting sound. Their main defence mechanism is to freeze. This one has babies. You can see two little heads poking through her wings.

I am learning Tai Chi with Yoshi in a weekly morning class at Rex Smeal Park in Port Douglas. A glorious location under the palm trees overlooking the water. Some mornings are cloudy but other mornings have bright sunshine. This is the changeable weather of the Wet Tropics.
